Student Technology Survey Begins February 24

The Student Technology Survey opens February 24! Have you completed yours?

Technology has always been a significant tool in education. From the early days of chalkboards and overhead projectors to the introduction of iClickers, iPads and computers — technology continues to be a powerful aide to enhance the learning experience.

Information Services & Technology (IST) is interested in improving students’ experience in higher education by gathering data on use of technology through the Student Technology Survey. This survey is run across institutions worldwide in collaboration with the Educause Centre for Analysis and Research (ECAR) and survey data is used to improve technology in learning.

The survey will be distributed to a randomly selected sample of undergraduate students and will run from February 24 to March 9. Those selected to participate will receive an email directly to their University of Alberta Gmail account with the subject line ‘Student Technology Survey’.

If you receive an invitation, we encourage you to participate to share how you would like classroom technology to evolve in the future.

If you have any questions regarding the survey, contact ist@ualberta.ca. For more information on the Educause Centre for Analysis and Research (ECAR) visit: https://www.educause.edu/ecar.
