Portal Updates: Catalog Items

We have extended the functionality of our IST Self Service portal! Logged in university users now have the ability to search our service catalog, submit service requests (catalog items) and review existing requests.

Here are all the new features logged in users will find:

  • Search function will now provide you with knowledge articles as well as any related catalog items.
  • A new “Catalog” menu item links to IST’s actionable service catalog. Here you can request any of the available IST services.
    • For any services not called out in the catalog, you can submit tickets through the General Inquiry form or Report an Issue.
  • Users can review their existing tickets through the “My Requests'' page. Here you can check ticket status, leave notes, ask questions, provide more information or add attachments.
  • Link to the “System Status” page where you can find out if an IT service is down.
  • Links to relevant catalog items are also available on the appropriate IST website service pages.

Currently not all of IST’s services are available on the portal. We will be expanding the service offerings available on the portal, so keep checking back and using the portal features to submit requests and inquiries.
