The Augustana Faculty Conservatory of Music provides lifelong learning and experiences in music to individuals in Camrose and throughout Central East Alberta. The philosophy of the Conservatory is to provide quality music education for all ages and for all abilities, seeing music making as an essential part of human existence and well-being. Adult-aged students may receive university credit through the Augustana Faculty if they so desire.
The success of the Conservatory's programs for children, first begun in 1987, is seen partly in the number of students now enrolled in the Augustana Faculty's Bachelor of Music program and other music programs in Canada. In addition, Conservatory students tend to exhibit a lifelong love of music making, regardless of what professional activities they pursue. It is our belief that every person has a right to make music and to express him- or herself through musical creativity. Our instructors are chosen and hired with this pedagogical principle in mind.
