UAlberta International's Annual Report 2019-20

In 2019-20, UAlberta International delivered services and programs at many levels to support the internationalization of the UAlberta experience for all.

We are pleased to highlight major steps supporting internationalization in 2019-20, such as meeting recruitment targets and increasing placements of students abroad for 2020-21. We faced new challenges with the appearance of COVID-19 - this transformed our work and the shape of our efforts. In this unprecedented situation, we adapted and adjusted our activities to continue to serve our community's needs, including a concerted effort to support the return of students abroad.

As we look to the future and the evolving global landscape, UAlberta International will focus on key areas in support of the university community, including recruitment and retention of international students and global learning without travel to continue to engage students in learning about the world.

Collaboration continues to be a vital component of our efforts - our partners on and off campus have played integral roles in advancing international engagement and opportunities. We look forward to continuing to work with you and invite new partners and collaborators to connect with us.

Together, we can ensure the University continues to be a vibrant international learning and research environment.
