Urban Requiem
The Symphonic Wind Ensemble (SWE) will stream a previously recorded performance of Urban Requiem by Michael Colgrass. The 2015 performance showcases SWE performing with the Pulitzer Prize winning composer, who was a champion of music written specifically for the wind band. Urban Requiem is a concerto for saxophone quartet and band where each of the saxophones represents a musical "neighbourhood" with unique sounds and atypical instrument combinations.
