Study in China at United International College

Augustana has created a new partnership with the United International College (UIC) in Zhuhai, China. UIC is a liberal Arts College that offers courses in Business, Humanities, Science, and Social Science. As an institution, they focus on educating the "Whole Person" and providing an educational experience that is diverse and internationalized.

Study in China as an exchange student for a semester

UIC and Augustana's schedules allow you to study at UIC for a semester in the winter term. You can take courses in business, in marketing, international journalism, and environmental science, as well as in a variety of subjects tied to the humanities and social sciences. All courses take place in English, and instructors come from China, nearby Asian countries, or North America and Europe, offering diverse perspectives and programs not available at the U of A.

The application deadlines each year are:

  • Fall semester: April 1
  • Spring semester: October 1

UIC employs interns to help students work on using their English language skills in an academic setting. After graduation, you can work at UIC for one year, have a chance to learn Mandarin, get some work experience in an institution with people from all over the world, establish a network that will remain important in your future, and travel within China.
