Opportunity to Serve: One (1) Graduate Student

The GSA Nominating Committee (GSA NoC) invites nominations from graduate students to fill the vacancy for one (1) GSA student representative on the University of Alberta Museum Policy and Planning Committee. The term of office for this position is one year, ending on June 30, 2020, but members may serve up to two additional terms.

Purpose
The UAlberta Museum Policy and Planning Committee is "a committee of the Provost and Vice-President (Academic), reporting to the Vice-Provost (Learning Services), to advise University administration and governance bodies, as appropriate or required, on matters relating to the University of Alberta Museums."
This committee seeks to "provide reports to the Vice-President (Research) and other administrative bodies relevant to museums and collections, as required" and to "support the vision, values and objectives of the University of Alberta Museums" (University of Alberta Museum Policy and Planning Committee Terms of Reference).

Meetings
This committee will meet 3-5 times in the 2019-2020 academic year. The first meeting is scheduled for Thursday, 3 October 2019 from 10:30 AM to 12 PM.

Should insufficient applications be received by the above deadline, the GSA NoC will commence a directed search process to fill remaining vacancies.
If you are not selected for service, we will notify you and we will ask for permission to keep your name and resume/bio on file for other possible committee openings.
