Timothy Van den Brink

Timothy van den Brink est un étudiant à la maîtrise qui concilie son temps entre le Campus Saint-Jean et le Campus Nord à l’Université de l’Alberta. Il travaille comme assistant de recherche pour le Dr Frédéric Boily, ainsi que comme agent de liaison pour la recherche au premier cycle pour la vice-doyenne Martine Pellerin. (English): Timothy van den Brink is a master's student who balances his time between Campus Saint-Jean and North Campus at the University of Alberta. He works as a research assistant for Dr. Frédéric Boily, and as undergraduate research liaison for Associate Dean Martine Pellerin.

3) "Why is it important for you to share your research in French"?
I find immense pride in contributing within the francophone academic community. Not only have Franco-Albertans been warm and welcoming, but I have been able to bond with other transplants, be it from Africa, Europe, or within Canada. I’m thankful for these opportunities, and what I have learned has allowed me to share my research across the country, and to be accepted to present research in francophone countries in Europe.

4) Pourquoi est-il important pour vous de partager votre recherche en français?
J’ai une immense fierté à contribuer au sein de la communauté universitaire francophone. Les Franco-Albertains ont été chaleureux et accueillants, et j'ai pu former des liens avec d'autres nouveaux arrivants, que ce soit d'Afrique, d'Europe ou d’ailleurs au Canada. Je suis reconnaissant de ces privilèges et ce que j’ai appris m’a permis de partager mes recherches à travers le pays et d’être accepté pour présenter des recherches dans des pays francophones d’Europe.
