What sparked you to study in your chosen field?
I always had an interest in bacteria, and the gut is full of them, so gastroenterology seemed like a natural fit.
What advice would you give to students entering graduate school?
Be confident in your work and its importance!
Who inspires you?
The patients I got to collaborate with. Their advocacy and willingness to help future patients was a big inspiration for my graduate research.
What was your favorite distraction?
Playing ringette and spending time outdoors.
