Off Island/ On Screen Cuban Contemporary Migrant Cinemas: Dr. Victoria Ruetalo (co-applicant Dr. Zaira Zarza)
This project will bring together to the University of Alberta and Metro Cinema films, Cuban diaspora filmmakers, and scholars who work in Caribbean and Diaspora Studies to gather in a series of talks, film screenings, and question and answer sessions, and a keynote lecture by Dr. Ana López, Tulane University. Events will take place from November 6 to 13, 2017.
