CNS Clinic

The Complex Neurologic Symptoms Clinic (CNS), Neuropalliative care provides symptom management for those with advanced neurologic disorders including Parkinson disease, Multiple system atrophy, Progressive supranuclear palsy and others. 

This clinic was established in 2015 and involves neurologists, palliative care physicians, spiritual psychologist and nurse. 

The group has published research using Alberta Health informatics to determine rates of access to palliative care for those with neurologic conditions. Dr. Miyasaki is a noted international leader in neuropalliative care. 

The KEC CNS clinic was the only neuropalliative care clinic for many years and recently, Dr. Veronica Bruno, former fellow of Dr. Miyasaki, began the neuropalliative clinic at University of Calgary.
