Sara Norquay Graduate Research Travel Award: Western Europe

Eligibility

  • Satisfactory Academic Achievement
  • Department of History
  • Be given to nominees registered in the PhD program, either advanced to candidacy or seeking assistance for initial dissertation research
  • To support travel to visit archives, libraries, or other research centres in Western Europe (Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Benelux)
  • A recipient may only receive the award once
  • In considering a nominee the department will evaluate the student's research plan and the student's progress including time in program, quality of coursework as evidenced by grades and completion of coursework
  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
  • Open to applicants in masters programs.
  • Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.


How to apply

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to FGSR by the Department (or Faculty). The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
