The program covers topics as diverse as architecture, tourism, climate change, earth sciences, and history.

The course also takes you beyond the classroom and into the mountains in a series of field trips and case studies tied to the latest in current research.
Last year, participants discovered the Vercors range to learn first-hand about economic policy and changing local cultural practices. They also traveled for a two-day trip to Lautaret pass and its geological transect to meet with UGA researchers, to see the unique and beautiful botanical gardens and experienced sleeping in a mountain shelter.
