Language of Instruction: English, German (Students wanting to take courses at their Centre of Translation Studies will need to demonstrate a B2 level of German skills at the undergraduate level or a C1 level of German skills at the graduate level.)

Most University of Vienna courses are offered in German. The following departments usually also offer at least some courses in English: Biology, Business, Law, English and American Studies, History, Politicial Science, Anthropology and Philosophy (there may be others).
