11 Photos Everyone Takes While Studying Abroad: Cortona Edition

For most of us, studying abroad is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. It makes sense that we do our best to capture all of the memorable moments we can. But, as much as we'd like to think of ourselves as amateur travel photographers, some of the photos we take during our travels look kind of ... familiar. With a little help from a few of my friends in Cortona's2018 Spring 1 cohort, I think you'll see what I mean. Here are the 11 photos everyone takes while studying abroad!

  1. The view of your street from your hostel/hotel/Airbnb.

  2. An artfully arranged shot of basically every half-decent meal you consumed on your trip.

  3. Street art.

  4. A dramatic photo of you with your back to the camera staring out at something … well, dramatically.

  5. An alleyway you thought was "artsy".

  6. A blurry picture from a night out that you can't actually remember taking???

  7. A photo of a particularly beautiful sunset that didn't really do a great job of capturing just how pretty it was IRL.

  8. A "totally candid" shot your pal took of you walking down the street (or in my friend Rachel's case, the beach!)

  9. That one door you thought was cool (my pal Kourtney gets bonus points for the vibrant wall).

  10. The classic airplane window shot.

  11. And finally, a selfie at a ridiculously big monument or tourist attraction where you could juuust barely fit everything in.
