Events

Each year the GI Division & GI Residency Training Program host a number of social events which foster community, collaboration and team building.

Please see links below for photos of events in our Division. (*to be provided soon)

GI Resident Welcome Event

Each July, residents and faculty are invited to an event to welcome the new GI residents. In recent years this has consisted of a group cooking class at a local Edmonton venue.

CaRMS Interview Day

In fall, we welcome internal medicine residents interviewing for our program to Edmonton. During the day, residents will have the opportunity to tour our facilities, meet with the current GI residents and mingle with residents and faculty over lunch.

Annual GI Holiday Party

Each winter the Division hosts a dinner and dance to celebrate the holiday season. It is a chance to dress up and show your dance moves!

GI Resident Program Lunch

Several times per year, the GI residents, MEPC, PD and RPC members take a break from the office and have lunch at a local Edmonton restaurant.

GI Research Day

Spring is the time for the Division of Gastroenterology Research Day. It is an opportunity for residents, fellows, graduate students, and faculty to present and discuss research projects in progress.

Resident & Fellow Appreciation Dinner

Each year, the gastroenterologists in the city meet to celebrate the success of the graduating GI residents and fellows. It is an event you don't want to miss!
