Student Loans

In response to delays in loan processing from Alberta Student Aid, the University of Alberta reversed all late fees and interest charges accrued by students whose loan funding came in past the Fall 2023 term payment deadline.

As Alberta Student Aid has returned to usual processing times, the U of A will return to standard policies and practices regarding tuition deadlines and extensions. More information can be found on the Tuition Frequently Asked Questions web page. If you need additional support, visit the Student Service Centre.

Student loans can be complicated, but we’re here to help! The Student Service Centre can assist you with your loan application and advise on how to manage your loans and pay for your education.
