About Me

Dr. Douglas Zochodne is a Neurologist and Neuroscientist, currently Divisional Director of Neurology at the University of Alberta. He has devoted his career toward understanding the biology and diseases of the peripheral nervous system, disorders that are common, disabling and frequently irreversible. In addition to being a clinical neurologist and having served as editor-in-chief of the Canadian Journal of Neurological Sciences, Dr. Zochodne has been a leading investigator of diabetic polyneuropathy and nerve regeneration. His work has been extensively published in research papers and 4 books addressing clinical polyneuropathy and new molecular approaches to reverse nerve disease.
