Anna completed her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of Alberta. While there, she received a Heritage Foundation Scholarship for Medical Research to find three-dimensional structures of proteins using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR). Upon graduating, she joined the immunology team at Cytovax Biotechnologies, Inc. to focus on proteomics, before returning to the University of Alberta and specializing in genomics at the Institute for Biomolecular Design. At the ATAGC, Anna obtains data from microarray experiments, and more recently, from exon arrays.
