Elective Years 3 and 4: Pediatric Gastroenterology

| Duration: | A standard elective is two weeks in length, however alternate arrangements may be considered upon request. 2 weeks minimum 4 weeks maximum |

| Overview: | Students will be scheduled for 1 week of outpatients (Clinics) and 1 week of Inpatient service. |
| Objectives: |
The student will, at the end of the elective, have a good general knowledge of intestinal function of children and will know the common gastrointestinal and liver disorders and diseases and understand the rationale of management. |
| Additional Notes: |
Pediatric Year 3 core rotation is not required as pre-requisite for this elective. NetCare access required for this elective. Connect Care access may be required for this elective. |
