Academic Benefit Enrolment Guide and Canada Life Forms

Temporary Academic staff with an appointment length under 12 months are not eligible for up to $180,000 of optional coverage without medical evidence. The limit for this group is $60,000. The enrolment guide has been updated to reflect this, and the additional form should be added (the form reinforces the $60,000 limit).

Psychological services benefit coverage
Effective October 1, 2023, registered psychologists and registered social workers will be added as eligible practitioners under the health plan.
An updated health plan text will be available shortly. In the mean-time, coverage for eligible academic employees is updated to:
The services of the following practitioners, limited to a maximum of $75 per visit, up to a maximum of $1,800 per person per calendar year for all practitioners combined.
